The ASCMC Senate meets every Monday at 8PM in Freeburg Forum
All students may become senators by attending the first meeting of the year, the first meeting of a new administration, or three meetings in a row.

Bio: Hey y'all! My name is Chad McElroy, and I am a sophomore from Concord, California studying Government. As the chairman of AAA, I am glad to play my part in funding student events and doing so with fiscal responsibility and professionalism! Aside from ASCMC, I work as a research assistant at the Rose Institute for State and Local Government. In my free time, I enjoy doing photography, going to baseball games, (re)watching Star Wars, and keeping up with everything related to aviation, human spaceflight, and space policymaking.

Bio: Hello everyone! :D I'm Desiree (she/her) and I'm an FGLI sophomore (2026) from San Diego, CA. studying psychology and literature (with a potential GSS Sequence). I'm passionate about helping others and fostering community; so, in addition to being the Academic Affairs Committee Chair you may find me running around as a Romero Success Coach, 1Gen Mentor/Co-Career Lead, CPB's Director of Outreach, Questbridge's Vice President, and as Co-President of Club Soda. Otherwise I can be found reading (YA and classical literature), playing volleyball, crocheting, or in one of the many study spots on campus (shoutout to the reading room <3). Bio: Hi everyone! My name is Josie Aspromonte, and I am a sophomore majoring in Economics and Public Policy. On campus, I am a member of the sophomore class cabinet, a Handley Fellow with the Kravis Leadership Institute, and the Community Service Chair for ASCMC. Originally, I am from Santa Cruz, California, and in my free time, I enjoy mountain biking, hiking, knitting, and spending time with friends. As the Community Service Chair, I hope to engage students in community service both within CMC and the broader Claremont community. By doing so, the committee aims to educate students about critical social issues, enhance their leadership skills, and, most importantly, foster a culture of service at CMC.
